Who We Are

We are Ashi and Taka - two regular Americans who had our "this is not normal" moment on January 20th, 2025. Like so many of you, we were living our lives, focused on our work as artists and designers, until we couldn't ignore what was happening to our democracy anymore.

We had our political awakening. We pulled back the curtain. And we realized we couldn't stay silent while fascism normalized itself in our country.

Our Mission

Rights N Threadz is our answer to feeling powerless in the face of authoritarianism. We're a democracy-focused brand that combines thoughtfully designed resistance wear with the educational resources you need to stay informed, engaged, and mentally healthy during these unprecedented times.

We practice what we call "aesthetic resistance" - creating beautiful, conversation-starting pieces that reveal their deeper meaning when people look closer. Because your values deserve beautiful design, we craft each piece with intention and artistry that people actually want to wear.

As introverts, this is how we channel our rage, grief, and determination into something that builds community. We believe that art is resistance, self-expression is survival, and fashion is protest.

We see you. Whether you're the teacher trying to protect democracy in your classroom, the veteran wondering what happened to the country you served, or the young activist who inherited a burning world - we're designing for people who refuse to let fascism become normal.
